Cinnamon Twists...who would refuse to have one of these?
So here's a super simple recipe for cinnamon twists.
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp Sugar
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 roll of Refrigerated Dough.
1 can Frosting (optional)
1 Tbsp Room Temp. Butter
How to make:
1. Wash your hands
2. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
3. Take out a small pan and put the butter in. Set to low. Once it's melted, turn off heat imediantly.
4. Add the sugar and cinnamon to a mixing bowl and mix well. Set aside
5. Take out the refrigerated dough and cut desired pieces. (I like to use Pillsbury Buttermilk Biscuit, and those are already cut. If you want small twists (using the Buttermilk Biscuit) then cut into the biscuits into halves, if not then follow instruction #6)
6. Take the dough and roll them into snake-like figures.
7. Take 2 of the "snakes" and twist them together.
8. Have a pan out. Put tin foil on the pan and grease with oil, butter, or shortening.
9. Dip the twists into butter first then into the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Put on pan.
10. Bake for 5-8 minutes (or until golden).
(Optional) 11. Put frosting on while still hot or when it's cooled and, ENJOY!
