Cinnamon Twists--Easy Enough--Recipe

Cinnamon Twists...who would refuse to have one of these?
So here's a super simple recipe for cinnamon twists.

Ingredients:
2 Tbsp Sugar
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 roll of Refrigerated Dough.
1 can Frosting (optional)
1 Tbsp Room Temp. Butter

How to make:
1. Wash your hands
2. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
3. Take out a small pan and put the butter in. Set to low. Once it's melted, turn off heat imediantly.
4. Add the sugar and cinnamon to a mixing bowl and mix well. Set aside
5. Take out the refrigerated dough and cut desired pieces. (I like to use Pillsbury Buttermilk Biscuit, and those are already cut. If you want small twists (using the Buttermilk Biscuit) then cut into the biscuits into halves, if not then follow instruction #6)
6. Take the dough and roll them into snake-like figures.
7. Take 2 of the "snakes" and twist them together.
8. Have a pan out. Put tin foil on the pan and grease with oil, butter, or shortening.
9. Dip the twists into butter first then into the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Put on pan.
10. Bake for 5-8 minutes (or until golden).
(Optional) 11. Put frosting on while still hot or when it's cooled and, ENJOY!

Skinny Cow - White Mint Truffle Bars - Review

Skinny Cow :D
Their ice cream is low-fat, low-cal, has fiber and protein (shocker, right?) and definately not low in flavor! Oh, I just love it...and I've only had 1 bar so far.
-----
Okay, here's the good news: Skinny Cow White Mint Truffle bars have a nice minty flavor that isn't overpowering. It's creamy and is reasonably sized. It has 100 calories per bar, with nice chocolatey ribbons surrounding it.
I ate one yesterday, and at first, I thought about eating it while writing in my blog but I had been mesmerized by the delicious-ness! Ha! I just wanted to eat half a bar and save half for dessert after dinner but it was gone after I finished my first half. I think know that Skinny Cow is an ice cream that I will Definately buy again (with a capital D too!). The bar is quite creamy with a white minty flavor but I couldn't really find a mint-like flavor but I sort of tasted vanilla. I guess that's how white mint taste like, since I've never ever had white mint until I tried this delectable product from Skinny Cow. The first ingredient is also skim milk (if that makes any difference). I want another bar...no, bad Kathy! (My name is Kathy, in case your wondering ^-^) Wait until it's 3PM :) I seriously don't understand how some people can wait a whole week to have another bar, or sandwich, if you've got the ice cream sandwich kind.
----------
The bad news: Even though I wrote a great review on Skinny Cow above, there are cons. First, the 2nd or 3rd ingredient (I forgot which) is high fructose corn syrup. Second, it a bit pricey. From where I get it from (Safe-Way), it cost about $6.99 for 1 box that contains 6 bars. That is a bit more than a dollar for each. I got it on sale for $4.99 so only get them if them if their on sale or if you have coupons, y'know...unless your rich (something that I'm not!).
I said they were creamy too...remember? It isn't that rich and creamy like fat-ful ice cream but it's better than those non-real-tasting ice creams that is all artificial and comes in those flower-shaped cups (which by the way taste nothing like real ice cream, did I just mention that?).
----------
There ya have it. My review. Yep..And would I reccomend this? Yes!!!!!!

Pocky [Strawberry] Review

Picture from Photobucket by elliott681
Now, Pocky is actually one of my most favorite snacks to consume...just not everyday, everynight, 24/7! I have tried the most popular flavors, like chocolate and (regular) strawberry dipped ones but these have caught my attention.
First, I'll talk about the outside to the inside. I love the way the box was designed. You have a small place to open and close the box. Yeah, I know this isn't so original but I don't see a lot of boxes like these, plus these are different from other Pocky boxes I've seen. I like ripe and unripe strawberries on the box with 2 sticks ands the words written in red.
The plastic wrap on the inside? Cute. You can see right through the plastic so you know exactly what your getting.
Let's open the wrap now. On the inside of the 4 pack boxes, are 4 packs. There are 4 sticks per pack. The color looks nice, and so does the look of it.
I opened the wrap and it hit me with a strawberry smell. I read somewhere that it contains actual strawberry flesh. Well, on the ingrediant list there is dried strawberries listed.
If you were to bite off the coating (which is something I always do) and chew the coating, you can probably feel a sugar-crystal-like texture with a cream coating over it but it's probably the the dried strawberries. I don't quite mind it at all.
Anywho, I would give this Pocky snack a 4 out of 5. I was going to give it a 3 out of 5, but then realized how much I loved it.
